Vista Markets is one of the largest local market chains to cater to the tastes of the El Paso community. Along with providing a full grocery store, they provide fresh baked goods, hot dishes and much more. This type of project was challenging as it includes diverse types of kitchens, cooking equipment and food preparation facilities on top of the typical market grocery areas coolers and produce areas that have requirements and challenges of their own. This project included five different kitchen ventilation systems to service the tortilleria, hot deli and bakery areas. In addition, it included a meat cutting room, multiple walk-in coolers, grocery area, cold fruit and juices preparation area, cashiers’ area, and commercial restrooms. In addition, the lighting and power required detailed coordination with the architect and owner's team to obtain all equipment schedules and layouts in advance to make sure our team provided the correct power requirements at the correct location for different pieces of equipment and lighting fixtures.
