The newest branch for the El Paso Area Teachers Federal Credit Union (TFCU) located at Resler and Paseo del Norte in El Paso, Texas. With construction complete, it was opened in early 2021 to serve West El Paso. The complete electrical and special systems design was completed by Raxis Engineering. This latest branch serving as a prototype for future TFCU branches. This location posted some challenges with the design to all required bank equipment. The branch included a drive thru bank with four lanes and two ATM lanes. The interior consisted of walk-up banking facilities, client safe boxes, and loan offices. Design of security devices and CCTV rough-in infrastructure with close coordination with security contractor was done. Special consideration was taken for the exterior and interior lighting of security areas, specifically nighttime drive-up facilities. Color changing light fixtures were added to provide feature lighting during nighttime hours. The RGBW lights are changed throughout the year to go with current holiday or monthly theme celebrations. This branch will be a staple location for TFCU and will go to serve Westside El Pasoan’s for years to come.
