With two strategically located locations in El Paso, Texas; West Texas Chophouse has become one of the most recognized steak houses in town . The Las Palmas (George Dieter) location was challenging as it used to be a Mexican Restaurant built in the early 2000's and although floorplan distribution was close to the original design, the majority the MEP systems and equipment had to be updated to meet current code requirements. The remodel of the restaurant included additional kitchen cooking equipment, ventilation systems and power requirements resulting in a full electrical service upgrade and replacement of natural gas service with a medium gas pressure service. The interior of the restaurant dining areas also proved challenging as lighting and mechanical systems were heavily coordinated to blend with the interior architectural features and space distribution to provide adequate light ambience and comfortable climate setting.
